    I guess it's a leak :0(

My husband may have been a little wrong in his estimation of how much water we're loosing. I've marked the pool so we'll see how much we're actually loosing in a 24 hr period. We do have a very small plumbling leak, it's not very much though. I have another question, how much water loss is a...

    I guess it's a leak :0(

I don't think it's a plumbing issue, but I will definatly have hubby double check that tomorrow. I haven't checked every single seam, I'll do that tomorrow also. I have checked around and under the ladder, nothing there. I would be over the moon if it was just the plumbing.

    I guess it's a leak :0(

At first I thought it was just evaporation, but now we're loosing 2-3 inches of water a day. I keep refilling it so that the pump can keep running. I don't see a noticable hole anywhere. Replacing the liner is going to be interesting, our above ground pool is buried, so I'm worried about...

There's a 20 foot wide hole in my backyard..

Keep on going! It's looking great. I felt just like that when we were digging ours out. We got a huge unexpected rain right after we removed the dirt. I had a 3-4ft pond for a week before we could sump all the water out of the hole, then we had to wait a good 3 weeks for it to get good and dry...

Am I not using enough chlorine?

Thanks all, I've been keeping the FC at 16 since the 29th. The water is sparkling clear, but there's still algae on the bottom, and some on the walls. :( We leave for vacation on the 10th, I'm hoping to have it cleared up before then so the ppl taking care of our pool don't have to mess with...

Am I not using enough chlorine?

I added enough to bring the CYA to 40 (40 has worked great in the past), It's just now reading 30. The pump is running 24/7. I've been checking it 4 times a day, it ends up dropping at least twice between those 4 checks.

Am I not using enough chlorine?

We opened our pool to a green swamp :( My first reading was FC-0 pH-8.2 CYA- less than 20 I added the muric acid, got the pH down to proper levels. Added stabilizer/conditioner to bring up the CYA Brought the FC up to 10 (according to the CYA/Chlorine calc.) It took 20 minutes and the pool...

    Please hold my hand...

Alrighty, the pool is full and the pump has been running for quite awhile now. Here are my readings. TC-0 FC-0 CC-0 CYA-0 TA-260 PH-8.2 CH-310 I plugged that into the calculator and am all kinds of confused lol. I won't be able to get to town to buy any stabilizer until tomorrow. I do have alot...

    Please hold my hand...

I found that out last year, I could never get the PH under control. I used alot of acid. I'm hoping those with this nice test kit, and the wisdom on here, I'll get it in control this year. :)

    Please hold my hand...

Ok, now we're cooking with oil. The cover is off and a ran a test on the water that was still in the pool. TC-0 FC-0 CC-0 CYA-0 CH-310 TA-200 PH- 8.2 (or more, it was bright red) The pool was only half full, so I have it filling now. I test again after I get the pump running right? I will say I...

    Please hold my hand...

I don't know if this should be posted in this section, The BBB section, or the starting up section. So if I should post it elsewhere please lmk. I ordered the TF-100 test kit, and it came fast! I'm alittle intimidated by it honestly. I plan on pumpimg the water off the cover and removing it...

Hello....newbie here and to owning a pool.

We installed a pool last year, completed it on the 4th of July, and took the first swim on the 6th. :-D I didnt find this site until after I closed up, which after reading on here I know I didn't do properly. I really want to open the pool this year properly, and use the BBB method. Last year...
