    Rust stain on vinyl liner

Evidently, there was a BB or two (I found one) at the bottom of my pool over winter. Now I have lots of rust staining around one of my main drain intakes. Any way to remove the staining?

Pool Bonding - Not so good

Interesting... When I turn off the power to the equipment pad at the main breaker(about 30 ft from the pad or so) there's still a voltage that's measurable between the water and the metal ladder and also between the water and the handrail. Maybe more of a stray voltage than anything...

Pool Bonding - Not so good

Yep, it's wrong. No question. Unfortunately, there was no inspection requirement where we live in Lower Alabama. So what's my recourse? Edited to add... Oops, just noticed your attachment has a section that addresses my recourse/options.

Pool Bonding - Not so good

:grrrr: Here's the scoop. When the pool was built, I asked the builder about bonding. They DID NOT use any kind of grid in the concrete decking, just a heavy gauge copper wire around the pool, behind the coping (it's a vinyl-liner pool) and connected to the ladder, hand rail, pool light and...

How much space needed above sand filter?

Well, those two opinions (both appreciated :) ) kind of conflict a bit. Any more opinions out there? Thanks in advance!

How much space needed above sand filter?

I have the Sta-Rite 300lb filter in my sig, with a top-mount multi port. I was thinking about a foot above the multi. Plenty of room to access the valve handle and it sounds like okay for taking the top off, then?

How much space needed above sand filter?

I'm getting ready to plumb in my solar panels to my equipment pad and I'd LIKE to mount the controls and piping ABOVE the sand filter, on the brick wall of my house. I'm trying to save space and keep all the controls handy. It sticks out quite a ways, though (2" plumbing), and I'm afraid it...

First 'real' test of the year

@dmanb2b Yep, I like to have borates in my pool, so I'll be upping the level until I reach 50 ppm. (whenever I get the borax....) I'm thinking I'll let the TA stay put for now, also. Thanks! @257WbyMag You're right! Just ran the CYA today and it's at 60. VERY happy the level stayed up...

First 'real' test of the year

We leave our pool open during the winter down here and run the pump when we have a cold snap and to circulate some overnight (minimal). Love the variable speed pump, btw! 8-) The SW chlorine generator doesn't work when the water gets below ~57 deg, so I dosed pool with bleach once this winter, I...

So BBBers, how long since you've shocked?

Put me down for the "never shocked" category. Haven't had the pool for a year yet, tho. Very few close their pool down here.

    Solar Covers...Do they really work?

My experience this year so far...solar cover has been on since middle of March. My pool is 10 degrees warmer than my next door neighbor's! Our pools have the same unrestricted sun during the day and they're the same size. It's working GREAT to retain the heat gained during the day. I don't...
