Would you bite the bullet and do a partial drain for CH and Salt (about a 1/3) or wait it out for the end of summer! Dang AZ water!

I have the Pentair UltraTemp Heat pump. If I turn it on when the pool pump is not running, nothin happens! I need to turn on the pool pump to eat the heat pump to start up! Is there a way to program the EasyTouch system to automatically turn on the pool pump when you turn on the heat pump?

My pool calcium hardness is at 650, the top level recommended. My pool “fill water” calcium hardness tested at 100. How is my pool water climbing to 650?

Thanks! I guess my question then is, If I turn my heat pump on should the pool pump automatically turn on? Or do I just need to turn on the pool pump whenever I want to turn on the heat pump?

We have a Pentair UltraTemp 120 H/C heat pump! We just got our pool lat last summer so haven’t played with the heater much! I turned it on today just to make sure it was working! It ran for awhile but shut off long before the temp I had it set at! I was trying to figure out what was happening...

I’m a new pool owner (pool is 5 months old). i do all my own testing and my FC has always been in the 7s every week! This week it jumped to 11. Any ideas what caused this? All my other numbers are good! I’m in AZ and the water has definitely dropped in temps! Anything I should worry about?
