I always suspected a small leak but a few weeks ago I started losing about an inch a day. That's crazy in humid Florida! Well I got the dye out and I watched it suck into the closest return to the pump. I figured I could tunnel to it, the concrete deck it only about 3 feet wide but what if...

Well, no one answered this for me so... I got just over 3 years on them. And, they are now cheaper at Amazon from Pool Supply Warehouse.

I could have replaced it last year but just ran the salt high. The SWG would say 2900 but the pool was really at 4000. We have had a ton of rain and I figure I should just fix it right.

I just ordered mine from them today. My 6 year old cell says there is 2200 ppm salt in the pool and my taylor drop test kit says 3500 ppm. No more generation... :cry:

Re: Accurate pH test during shock levels with R-007? I keep it calibrated so yes I trust it, I'm just not sure about it during the shock treatment.

Will a digital pH meter read accurately at high chlorine levels?

I always ask myself what someones agenda is when the want to sell me something, especially on a regular basis. Make sure you have a good test kit and follow the advice of the folks here!

I think the guy who wanted the update is no longer here but... After a bout 2.5 years, running great and cleaning up nicely. Not looking to replace them any time soon. How long should a set of filters last?

That pump IS on Gulf Powers list which make that pump VERY inexpensive to buy. It would be nice to see some reviews though. Sometimes, you get what you pay for...
