Using robotic pool cleaners used on pebble finish pool

Here is what it looks like when clean. It's been like this ever since I started the new protocol of brushing before running the M400. It's overall more clean than when I used the Polaris 360.

Using robotic pool cleaners used on pebble finish pool

Riley00dog, If your walls were clean before brushing, I would expect them to look the same after using the pool cleaner. Here is what my pool looks like when the walls are dirty. In the area above the center of the picture, you are seeing the reflection of the flagstone. (Although that is...

Using robotic pool cleaners used on pebble finish pool

I had my pool resurfaced with a pebble finish in April. I was unaware that since a pebble finish is quite rough, the side walls of the pool can catch dirt and pollen in between the pebbles. If I stick my hand under the water and push a stream of water in the area of the dirt, it just blows the...

Using robotic pool cleaners used on pebble finish pool

Thought I would give you all an update. I got the pool cleaner and used it a couple times. First off, probably better to get the cart/dolly because the instructions say if you don't have one to store the cleaner upside down so as not to damage the brushes. I didn't know that one of the purposes...

robotic or vacum for my new inground

I bought a house that had an inground pool with a Polaris 360 installed. The main issue I have in my pool with the Polaris pool vacuum, is that it has to run while the main pump is running with a booster pump. The booster pump already died twice and had to be replaced at the cost of $350...

Narrowed it down to a Dolphin but not sure which, Nautilus CC+, S200, or Proteus DX4?

I just ordered the M 400 from them, but without the cart to save money. My steps have double curves and are not deep/wide, so I don't expect it to clean them well, but I'm hoping that it cleans the pool walls good everywhere else to save me from having to brush so much.

Using robotic pool cleaners used on pebble finish pool

Thanks everyone for all the great advice. After reading numerous threads on TFP on pool cleaners, I decided to call Marina Pool & Spa in Colorado. I talked to someone there who gave me some great advice on cleaners with features that would work best with my pool. I decided to buy the M 400...

Using robotic pool cleaners used on pebble finish pool

Thanks for all of the advice everyone. Dave, regarding getting a robot stuck on the drain cover, once I get a robot, I will test is running it without the pool pump on, or closing the valve on the main drain. That should eliminate the robot getting sucked over the drain. Believe it or not, my...

Using robotic pool cleaners used on pebble finish pool

I read a number of the pool cleaner threads. Lots of recommendations of what to buy and where. (Thank you all.) Having said that, I am wondering if anyone uses a Dolphin pool cleaner with a large pebble finished pool? If so, I am looking for recommendations. I would like to know if the cleaner...

CYA levels at pool bottom versus pool surface

Thanks for the quick answer. My CYA is close to 60 (I tested it yesterday with the CYA test kit TFP recommends.) I'll need to drain again and replace the water with fresh water.

CYA levels at pool bottom versus pool surface

Can someone tell me if the CYA levels are higher at the top of the pool versus at the bottom of the pool? Since CYA has the UV properties to moderate chlorine depletion due to sunlight, my intuition says it should be higher near the surface. However, since my CYA test kit doesn’t say anything...

    Measuring Chlorine after a SLAM

Thanks for all of the responses. I will get the FAS-DPD tester. (No, Richard320, I didn't use it.) Its good to hear that having CC close to zero is good. But I will read through the ABCs link as well.
