Hayward AQR15 vs Pentair IntelliChlor IC60 for 42k gal pool

Not necessarily true. I self installed an IC-40. The temp/flow sensor went bad after 4 months. The unit is warranted for 1 year from purchase. I called Pentair tech support, informed them I installed it myself and it was running fine until the temp kept reading 75F constantly. I said I thought...

    Pentair IC40 Temperture problem

Just an update. I did contact Pentair and explain the situation. They happily supplied me with a temp/flow sensor which fixed the issue. They said flat out if it reads 75F, then it's the temp/flow switch. No diagnostics to run. It defaults to 75F if is can't get a reading from the temp sensor...

Any Pentair Intellichlor IC40 Experts Here?

Just a thought, but maybe it's something with the power supply in the Easy touch control panel. Maybe it's not outputting the proper voltage, especially when it's under load. It's probably suppose to be outputting 22-39vdc like the standalone power supply. I would call Pentair and talk to their...

    Pentair IC40 Temperture problem

No I haven't yet. I guess I'll try that Monday. I was under the impression after reading several comments and posts on different sites that they would give you the run around if the installer wasn't a "licensed professional". I'll give them a shot.

    Pentair IC40 Temperture problem

I failed to mention that in the original post, but I did remove the cell and inspect it. It had no visible scale build up at all. I did clean it and removed the temp/flow sensor to inspect it as well and found no scale or damage at all.

    Pentair IC40 Temperture problem

I've had an IC40 for about 4 months now working flawlessly. I installed it myself along with the intelliph system. Anyway, during my almost daily routine of checking cell status I noticed that the temperature read 75F last week. I thought that was odd since it's normally been reading in the high...

    IC40 self cleaning cycle..

To change the setting you need to hold the "less" button on the IC40 itself for three seconds. Then use the less or more buttons to change it. I don't think there's a setting on the EasyTouch to change it. Up to you on whether or not you want to change it. When I installed mine, I changed it...
