    Latham Fiberglass Pool Warranty Claim

Two business days later I got a reply: "Please reach out to your dealer for any updates and decision details on your claim." I'm guessing they are referring to the company that installed the pool? Why would they have anything to do with this? They know nothing about fiberglass pool repair, it's...

    Latham Fiberglass Pool Warranty Claim

Update: other than a brief phone call two weeks after the claim suggesting waterline tile I have not yet heard back from Viking\Latham. It's now been two months of radio silence so I broke down today and emailed them.

    Latham Fiberglass Pool Warranty Claim

Starting a thread for the soon to be under construction of my Viking fiberglass pool that has air pockets under the gel coat that have now become holes. I submitted a warranty claim earlier this week, haven't heard back yet. It was installed in 2020 and we just noticed this now.

    Breaking Point

Yes I did think about enclosing the area, it's already half way there. If this kind of weather becomes the norm I certainly will. Regarding the pipe overheating I tested out the cable indoors when I first got it and it heated up to about 110 degrees. That against a pipe with 34 degree water...

    Breaking Point

Just reflecting on the past week of deep freeze here in NC. I decided to keep it open, mainly because I have a water level return on the tanning ledge so I would have had to blow out the entire return system. Everything was fine but things started to go south for me when the sustained low temp...

Fiberglass install, feel like I'm getting priced up

Last I heard fiberglass shells were backordered pretty bad. Either that cleared up or they want your downpayment and then the excuses start rolling in, or worse they excavate and then the excuses start rolling in and you have no recourse but to wait a very long time.

New fiberglass pool build in OBX- Current stage Fence and Landscape.

Problem with the bond you have there in the picture is (I assume) it is above water level, so if you lose prime your water will no longer be bonded. You'll have a better peace of mind if it's below the water level and acessible for periodic inspection. Also I have the same pool and they had to...
