    Algae or to much chemicals?

wow great idea on using the pump as a vaccum. Update: I can see the bottom much better. Still a bit cloudy but I was able to use the garden hose vaccum with a hose attached today and could see the debris on the bottom for the first time. I continue to add a lot of bleach I do not want this...

    Algae or to much chemicals?

Since yesterday evening I have put in 4 jugs of bleach (6%). Around 7 PM Central after 3 jugs I could actually see a hint of the bottom. :-D So I went ahead and changed the Cartridge filter which was the dirtiest I ever saw it. One thing I noted is that it was also a different brand and I...

    Algae or to much chemicals?

    Algae or to much chemicals?

I went out tonight put in a new filter. Swept the pool and added 96L of bleach. Water really looks gray green. I can see the 3rd step but cloudy. Chlorine is still well over 5. Strip test says 10. OTO is plus 5 as gauge does not go high enough. PH is up to 7.5 it looks like. And TA is 100

    Algae or to much chemicals?

I made the mistake at looking at filter pumps at the pool store they were several hundred bucks. These look more resonable. I have a 637R but it does not say how many gallons it moves in an hour. Eric
