Yes, I drain below my returns every year. Then fill up where rain/snow left me off until I get to where I need. My fill water has a CH of 75. No heater on my setup.

Ok I went back to my ring camera to check when I did what. So Oct 9th is when I put the chlorine in. I can remember that testing next day I was at 12 FC. I let that circulate and didn’t put poly quat in until Oct 15. My FC then was 4ppm. I don’t think I sacrificed the poly quat.

Wow, I can see clearly now! That worked great. A minute or two of liquid chlorine did the trick. Don’t know how I want testing before. Bottles new again. I had to hold it up to the light previously just to see where the level was at.

Yes, I always rinse it out after. The bottle is I think 2 years old 🫢

Good morning all, Is it necessary to clean the cya mixing bottle and if so how would one go about it? I think the inside of the bottle is sort of chalky or has a residue on it. Would I be able to pour some liquid chlorine in there an let it sit a bit?
