Domct203, your skimmer install is where I got the idea to connect the one output with the skimmer drain! I wonder if you can have them both working to pull water from both the middle and top of the water column?

I recently put up an 18'x48" Intex AGP that has two outputs and one return. I tried out the Intex hang on the side skimmer and couldn't get it to work at all. The side frames of my pool are oval and the thing kept slipping off. Also, the skimmer wouldn't stay under the water. Total garbage...
