Easytouch 8 with TWO 2-Speed Pumps?

Just the motor. - - - Updated - - - I think I understand how to wire with two power relays vs. the 2-speed relay...except for the common wire. Where does it connect in the panel? Either one of the power relays or both?

Easytouch 8 with TWO 2-Speed Pumps?

    I would, but I didn’t plump the chiller that way. - - - Updated - - - I’ve got an extra!

Easytouch 8 with TWO 2-Speed Pumps?

Yeah, that’s where I landed too. I have space in the box for another 2 speed relay but no available special purpose relay outputs (unless the solar port an be used somehow). Do you have a wiring diagram of what that would look like with two aux circuits? Even a crude drawing? I thought about...

Easytouch 8 with TWO 2-Speed Pumps?

Is there a way to run two 2-speed pumps with an Easytouch 8? I have one 2-speed Whisperflo pump running my filter/heater/cleaner, using the Pentair 2-speed relay. I have a single speed 1.5HP Superflo that runs my sheer descent water feature and my pool chiller. I need less flow to run the...

Help: Whisperflo 2-Speed Function with Easytouch 8 Automation

Figured it out! The pump power relay was fried and stuck ON. Must have happened when the original motor fried. I had a spare relay in Aux 7 that wasn't in use so I switched it out and B-I-N-G-O. Thanks for the advice.

Help: Whisperflo 2-Speed Function with Easytouch 8 Automation

I’ve now successfully changed the Whisperflo motor 2 a two-speed, Century/AO Smith (CENTURY 2, 1B2984 - Grainger). BTW, Grainger sells pool pump motors for over $200 less than Leslie’s. Still not as cheap as you can find online, but I needed the pump fast before going out of town. Added the...

Replacing single speed Whisperflo motor with 2-speed motor

I’ve now successfully changed the Whisperflo motor 2 a two-speed, Century/AO Smith (https://www.grainger.com/product/CENTURY-2-16U435). BTW, Grainger sells pool pump motors for over $200 less than Leslie’s. Added the Pentair two-speed relay. Wired as indicated on back of Intellitouch 8 panel...

Replacing single speed Whisperflo motor with 2-speed motor

My 2-year old Whisperflo motor is shot. Found the breaker tripped. When I reset it there was an arc from the windings (I discovered later, evidenced by observed soot), toward the back underneath the connection terminals. Breaker tripped again. Tightened up the connections. Reset the breaker...

Replacing motor with dual speed and wiring into EasyTouch controller - wiring help

I know this is old, sorry. I'm looking to do the same thing. Current pump is a Whisperflo WFE-8. Motor (2HP EE FR 3750RPM 230VAC 56Y SQFL) is dead. Understand I need a relay and another wire from the Pentair automation panel. Any change to the impeller necessary? Any regrets 3 years later?
