Thanks for the suggestions on the power lines. I'll keep that in mind when the unit arrives.

    Bypass leaking Raypak heater suggestions

Thanks for the input. Prob 7-10 days on the heater to ship and install. Unfortunately, here in DFW its in the mid-70's to almost 80 this week. I thought about winging it without much pump time while I waited but the leak is pretty substantial and the temps are just too warm right now. I've...

    Bypass leaking Raypak heater suggestions

Thanks. I'm re-routing the lines now. Close to what you suggested but I chose a spot a little higher up on the intake line so that I could do it with less unions. I'll post pictures of finished product for anyone else interested later.

    Bypass leaking Raypak heater suggestions

Looking for help for a first-timer. I've got a rusted out return header in this 15 yr old Raypak heater. New heater on the way but for 7-10 days I don't want a leaking swamp in the yard as I need to run my pump still. I was going to cut the pvc and re-route the plumbing to temporarily bypass...

AquaRite board possibly bad; continually generating Chlorine anyway?

Thanks Dave. Are you saying that the transformer is possibly an issue as well?

AquaRite board possibly bad; continually generating Chlorine anyway?

More info, if anyone has some knowledge. These are pictures inside the unit. Looks like AQ-RITE 132611 R1.04 model with Independent Energy main PCB P/N 132603 Rev E. I'm assuming that is a very old unit. Would a new GLX-PCB-RITE board be the correct thing to do here? Thanks for any input.

AquaRite board possibly bad; continually generating Chlorine anyway?

Throwing this out there to see if someone has heard of it...I can't find any reference to this specifically. I am getting to know my pool and SWG the past few weeks. I'm new to pool maintenance and using TFPC for a few weeks now. (Thank you!) Chemistry is getting there and I have been...

Tested and ready, which chemicals first?

Thanks all. Can I just confirm the following steps then? -Adjust PH down to 7.2, aerate, when it comes up again, adjust down again, aerate, repeat. TA should come down as well. -Go ahead and add salt and get SWG working. -Wait on the CYA bump up until I get the PH down and test overnight for...

Tested and ready, which chemicals first?

Yes, but again, I'm estimating since the only test for PH is the vial line that goes to 8.0. It was definitely at least 8.0 yesterday (before pool guy) and perhaps a little above. I'm new at this, and I'm not sure about my vision and accuracy with the color shading. After today, it was...

Tested and ready, which chemicals first?

Water is clear and doesn't seem to be an issue right now. The high PH is where I thought I'd start too. And I need salt, the test strips say 2200 but the Aquarite doesn't. Think it needs some work and maybe I'll check the cell to see if its dirty. The other issue is the scaling, leeching...

Tested and ready, which chemicals first?

Hi all, I appreciate the information here. I'm a new convert and received my TF-100 test kit this week. Ready to cancel the pool service company after watching them ignore my SWG and salt levels and keep dumping in shock and tri-chlor pucks every week. Here are my test numbers.... Yesterday...
