Ah. This is the manual specific to the DE-4800? I had a feeling that might be the case, but I wonder why it says that, given that standard procedure seems to be to lube all the o-rings. I'd love to see the manual - do you happen to have a digitized version that you could share?

It looks fairly new and does not appear flattened. I think the previous owner replaced it not too long before I moved in - because I found the old o-ring lying around. But even if I replace it again - do I lubricate it or no? I am finding conflicting information on this.
