Yes, mine was cloudy for a few days once I started SLAMing. It started out deep green and swampy though. Vacuum and brush as much as you can.

Yeah you're right. I'm seeing little clusters creeping up again and my chlorine is dropping pretty good each time (lost my notes from today's readings though). Any harm in chlorinating over shock level other than wasting money?

Once you do your first test and start adding chemicals everything makes much more sense. I was the sane way a week ago; read everything multiple times but it clicked ounces I got the test kit and started having to apply everything.

Fromm limited understanding, cloudiness can be from the chlorine killing organic material. Which would mean a SLAM is probably a good start. I'm new also though.
