You should probably change breaker even though u got pump working. Breakers are only made to trip a certain amount of times before they lose resistance. Your breaker will probably will be fine for years but for 20bucks it’s worth changing. You are protecting a pump that cost much more

Where is digital temp located? If it’s on door it may not be accurate. I have. Master built propane smoker , door reads 225-250 but I put oveN thermoter in it and it was reading 165-175. I read most thermometers that come with smokers aren,t accurate. It seems like 300 on door. Is a perfect 225.

is there a 2 pole breaker feeding the subpanel? if so you have 240v. is there a breaker you shut off to kill the power to your sub-panel? if that breaker is 2 pole you have 240v. this is pretty common. you can then put a 2 pole breaker in the sub-panel for your motor. this wouldnt even be a 1...

you should call an electrician to change your main house breaker, unless you can pull your meter. the wires coming into the breaker are live. you need to disconnect at meter, you may need the utility to do that. does any of the wiring look loose or rusted?
