    Waterfall pump not waterfalling

So the pump pump towards the top of the first photo is the waterfall pump. The waterfall is at the top of the photo (backside of the pool). As you can see, the pipes probably run under the patio and the pool. Nowhere to tell if the ground is wet I guess? The last time photo is the backside of...

    Waterfall pump not waterfalling

Sorry, I've been out of pocket. I'll take some picture this evening and then upload. The pump continues to run. There's just a trickle of water that comes out of the feature (about the amount I primed it with) and then it stops. I've tried dumping water into the reservoir as it runs and it...

    Waterfall pump not waterfalling

Hi- I have a secondary pump for a waterfall feature in my pool. Following a deep freeze this winter (in Dallas) the feature hasn't been working correctly. I've primed it and when I turn it on a little bit of water will start to flow down the rocks, and then it stops. Everything else in the pool...

    Starting to get anxious

My tests last night, after adding bleach an hour earlier, were FC-8.5 Tested this morning and I got varying results. I think I'm not doing a good enough job getting the water out from when I clean the test tube out or something. My first test was FC-7.5, 2nd was FC-6.0, switched tubes and 3rd...

    Starting to get anxious

That's great info, thank you so much. I've been adding enough to get to target...will shoot for the over from now on. I lost 2ppm today between 8a and 7p. Will keep tracking that. Hopefully mybovernight loss loss test come back ok. I did swim Monday night so that may account for some of the...

    Starting to get anxious

Ya I'm not trying to go minimum, but that's what happens during the day when I'm gone. And, yes, that's what I meant re: the trichlor. I'm a little frustrated right now. My pool has been clear all summer. I took maintenance into my own hands because I didn't know what all was going in there...

    Starting to get anxious

I'll do it once more tonight to make sure I follow the procedure to a "T". I am not going to replace the water since my CYA should start to come down now that I took the Trichlor out. Also, being as hot as it is, I lose water to evaporation and pump new water in once or twice a week (not a lot...

    Starting to get anxious

Ok, so I pulled the trichlor tabs out of my pool last Saturday and have been testing my pool by myself ever since. The water is very clear, but my FC is being used up a lot (I know, it's 100 degrees out here in Dallas). My pool gets direct sunlight for a lot of the day. CYA levels are still in...

    Calcium hardness rising

Ok so I've been testing with my new TF100 kit since Saturday. Starting to get the hang of it. Got a speed stir and that's fantastic. Here are are my original tests from Saturday morning: FC- 6 CC- 0 Ph- 7.9 TA- 150 CH- 350 CYA- 90 took the tricolor out at this point and started adding bleach...

    First Test with TF-100 kit...

Thanks for the help... fc-8 pH- 7.6 the aerating worked well. I didn't retest the TA or CYA. Will add more bleach tonight and retest in morning. Will also try to add for MA tomorrow to help bring the TA down a little more.
