Rust along entire bottom edge of Doughboy Oval - Is it safe to repair? Please advise.

I'd also say that pool is a total loss, with damage like that around the entire bottom perimeter it doesn't matter if it's round or oval it's going to fail and soon.

Buying home with Above ground pool - rough shape - salvagable?

I've done this more than once. The stainless repairs will outlast the rest of the pool. I'd almost bet there isn't much damage elsewhere, it looks like the culprit here is a leaky return gasket. Oval pools arent as magical s people tend to believe. Installation isn't much more complicated...

Buying home with Above ground pool - rough shape - salvagable?

Actually if the rest of the pool is is good shape including the bottom straps, it's easily repairable. Remove the liner so you can see the inside of the wall, if it is rusted badly everywhere it's junk. If it's just at the skimmer and return you can buy a stainless steel return and skimmer...

Using top rails to identify post locations?

People assemble the top rail for Intel pools. Sounds like you have a metal wall oval pool. What you want to do is assemble the bottom wall track. Everywhere you connect two pieces using the provided hardware you will need a paver. This is where the posts will be when assembled.

What needs to be level? Post only or the middle too?

The perimeter where the post and bottom rail rest is what needs to be level. Sounds like that's what you've done. The rest of the interior floor can be as wavy or flat as you want. Some people put deep ends in their above ground pools. You just have to decide if if bothers you know because...

The best thing to is dig to level. Consider renting a sod cutter, it will make things a lot easier.

Pool alarms that actual work well.

I'm sure the main difference is the way they mount. With a little ingenuity you can make an ig alarm work on an above ground. Also, the swim alert has a remote alarm so it will sound at the pool and in my house as well, you can only disarm it at the pool though. It rearms itself so you don't...

Pool alarms that actual work well.

I have the maytronics swim alert. I have been happy for 2 years, I have a 4 year old and a 6 year old, works every time I forget to disarm it, it's very loud! It has bad reviews on amazon, but it was recommended by good housekeeping which was where I learned about it. It will give false...

In desparate need of install help

Just keep in mind the main part that needs to be level is where the bottom rail rests, the area inside can be off and not hurt the structural integrity. Rent a transit or laser level if you don't have one and the pavers set within an inch closer is always better. Then lay out the bottom rail...

In desparate need of install help

It sounds like the pavers were set into the compacted sand and not the ground. If that's the case the sand that is under the pavers and pool wall needs to be removed. Then the pavers set into the ground, pool wall erected, then sand can be raked back to the pool walls from the inside. The...
