    1st year keeping pool open

Pump lid is full of water and moving. I have a whole house generator that the pool is connected to, and it has been tested and works. Need to see if I have any pool noodles hanging around ;-)

    1st year keeping pool open

This year I got a SWCG and VSP, and decided to keep pool open. Have pump running at 1000rpm. We have frigid temps from this arctic blast, and 2 days ago, pool looked good. Didn't get out yesterday, but today, there is a good bit of ice over entire surface. Don't know thickness but not cracking...

    too much chlorine

What a first world problem... my Core 55 has been doing great. Last evening, my FC was 11 and I turned the unit off. Checked this morning and I'm sure there was a little error, as FC was 8.5. I left SWCG off all day, and at 7pm tonight, FC was still 9.5. I just keep my VSP on 1000 all the...

    air bubbles in SWCG

So I angled the Core 55 about 10-15 degrees to the back of the unit so the sensors on that side were covered, and I am back down to 1000RPM on my VSP and the No flow light has not come on again :-)

    air bubbles in SWCG

I read somewhere that the "air pocket" could affect the salinity sensor which is on the opposite side of cell from flow switch. So it was recommended to angle the unit towards the back to keep the salinity sensor covered. Will try that also

    air bubbles in SWCG

I'm seeing how long I can dial down RPM until it happens again. had it at 1200prm and this morning no flow light was on. With the pressures, I meant it was the typical pressure for the speed pump was set at, there hasn't been any deviations in pressure. And actually, it has been about 2 months...

    air bubbles in SWCG

Just saw your post Marty. Pressures stay the same at different speeds, but will clean it again and see what happens.

    air bubbles in SWCG

It's weird how in 1 month of no problems and no changes, it suddenly shows no flow light even though I see flow and the flow switch is deviated a good bit (but I don't know if it would deflect more (or max.) at higher speeds.

    air bubbles in SWCG

I have read several older threads about air bubbles trapped in SWCG, especially at low pump speeds. I have had my Core 55 since beginning of June. For the whole month of July, up until about a week ago, I have been running my VSP at 1000rpm, with 2 15 min sessions of 2500, just to flush out any...

    thank you TFP

Thanks to the member who had a thread about supporting sections of PVC! I needed something for my SWCG and used a 4-hole cross connector with 3in on 2 sides and 2in on other 2. I just cut it in half and the 2in side went on left over PVC and the 3 inch side supported the underneath of the...

    SWCG safeties

Makes sense. My anal-retentive self can really go down a rabbit hole on possible what ifs
