Back Again - Question on Calcium Scaling of new Pool

I hope these pictures are helpful. In the first one you can see some growths coming from the middle of the shot. And towards the top you can see little spots that look like they are the beginnings of these larger ones. My pool installer is saying this is normal for the surface since it is new...

Back Again - Question on Calcium Scaling of new Pool

Hi Everyone So we are back again with another pool. Just purchased our test kit from this site and am getting used to it. I believe our numbers are pretty good w/ CSI looking correct. However, we are seeing some calcium scaling (little balls coming thru the pebbletech). Is this normal? Our...

    Pool Newbie - another one!

Sorry for delay in posting pics... It looks fantastic!!! We are keeping our CSI very close to 0 (by using pool calculator!) and just adding liquid Chlorine and a little MA (<20oz/wk). With the low CyA, sun and heat we add about a quart a day or every other day.

    Pool Newbie - another one!

Yes you are correct that I'm using pool store and my test strips right now. Ordering a kit to get stable results Regarding RC/CC - I mis-labeled the information. Since the test is from store, they give results for FC and TC. Both were showing the .06 After adding the Chlorine and MA last...

    Pool Cover Reel Opinions

Hi Everyone We have an kidney shaped pool with a solar cover (see picture). When I take the cover off a lot of dirt goes into pool which I'm sure is not good. So for that and ease, I am thinking of getting a pool cover reel. First Question - do folks think they are worth it? If so, my...
