    Circupool RJ 30+ Problems

Well I got the cell back Weds and got it hooked up. It seems to be working well.

    Circupool RJ 30+ Problems

What exactly was your issue? Mine was scaling obviously but after cleaning it did produce FC, just didn’t read temp or salinity correctly. It’s hot out so I’m sure the second it cools down it would have stopped producing prematurely due to temp.

Why such a high price for Hayward replacement T-cells?

Its the raw materials in the cell. I just looked for my SWG receipt for warranty purposes. I paid less than 1000 shipped 2.5 years ago and now the same system is a little over 1500 before taxes and shipping.

    Circupool RJ 30+ Problems

I finally got an email invoice from Circupool, not DSP, that said they replaced a circuit board cooling fan. The warranty is pro rated so I had to pay 60 percent of a 70 dollar repair plus shipping and tax. In the meantime I've been dosing with LC and I used MA and my waterfall to get the TA...

How often do you test EVERYTHING?

Thanks. I have lowering the pH to 7ish then using my waterfall to bring the PH up. The TA is currently 80, but I'm debating if I should bring it down a little more to 60-70.

How often do you test EVERYTHING?

Thanks for your input. Why do you say 7.4? According to pool math with my TA at 80, 7.8 would put me at CSI of near zero (-0.08).

How often do you test EVERYTHING?

So I thought I had a handle on my pool until I realized my SWG was scaled up (in 6 months!) and my TA was making my pH run away. Dosing with MA once a week to get from 8.2 to 7.8 was not enough. I was testing FC once a week or so, CYA every month, TA/CH pretty much every few months. I guess I...

    Circupool RJ 30+ Problems

Moving the jumper to bypass the temp sensor did not change the salinity reading. Then they said try hooking up the old cell that had the cell connection error. It still said cell connection so now they are sending me a label to sent them the old cell and control unit. Frustrating how drawn out...

    RJ60+ low salt?

I am having trouble with a relatively new cell also. Just call DSP as you are in the warranty period. Unless your CSI is super high I doubt your cell is scaled up. No bubbling during cleaning confirms that. I had a similar issue.. mine read lo salt and cell maintenance lights. It turned out to...

Neighbor renting out their "Poolside Paradise." Renters keep coming to my house.

I did not even know this was a thing. I looked and all the pools near me are getting 30-50/hr. Not even worth to being close to worth the inconvenience or liability.

How often are you checking pH and/or adding acid?

How can I lower the TA besides using a ton of acid ?

How often are you checking pH and/or adding acid?

Also I have a waterfall we use whenever we swim, which doesn't help my cause. I dont believe we have high pH fill water but I should check that because I'm topping it off every few days this summer. My TA is at 120 right now. I will check and adjust my pH twice a week when I do my skimmer sock...

How often are you checking pH and/or adding acid?

I thought I was doing OK checking my pH every week and adding about 8oz of MA to bring the pH down to 7.8 from 8.2. I guess not because my salt cell scaled up in about 6 months. I am shooting to keep it closer to 7.5-7.6 to help my CSI be slightly negative.

Pool 'suction side cleaner' getting physically stuck on main drain

If you don’t have a dedicated port then I would seriously consider a robot. There’s no point in tying up the only skimmer you have.

    My headaches, an introduction...

Welcome! Your FC and CYA are good. Your TA is a little high. Buy a quality test kit and do your own testing. First of all pool stores can give varying and questionable results, and they are in the business of selling you things. Pool math is trying to sell you nothing except maybe a donation...
