Try pool noodles. The large ones can be cut at any angle. Zip tie them to bottom of steps.

I have the in-pool steps used with my old metal wall pool. These steps have the adjustable arms to attach to deck. I have ordered intex 24x52 pool (here soon hopefully!) I am hoping to use these steps with the Intex pool. Anyone else tried this & have helpful ideas??
