Dolphin will not climb the walls

Just a thought, I have a Zodiac, it has 2 modes, one it climbs the walls, one it does pretty much what you describe, it also doesn't like climbing when the bag is full

No tile on steps, spa seat and tanning shelf?

I thought about it, and had sufficient waterline tiles left to do so, but in the end didn't bother, apologies for the leaf, its windy out :) Dropbox - 2016-06-03 21.10.58.jpg edit:How do you get dropbox files to show in the message?

    Using Lithium Hypochlorite to shock

Lithium Hypo is ludicrously expensive (in OZ anyway) 2KG AU$88 a quick mess in pool math shows 568g LH ($25) vs 1.5L bleach(12.5%) ($1.20) to do the same thing.

    Post-Slam/OCLT: FC Loss

Why do you think you have a problem, your weather shows 30C & sunny, FC loss is to be expected, you have minimal CYA <40 could be 20 ??, 0CC, . What are you afraid of?

    Constantly adjusting SWG %

You will get a little finer adjustment by adjusting run time, either leave on the lower setting and increase run time by 1 hour or leave it on the higher setting and reduce run time by 1 hour test various run times until you get less of a swing. Then as the summer comes you'll need to do it all...

New pool owner, can I do this?

Im sure you have exhausted all suction side issues. Disconnect the pipe/union/outflow side of the pump, turn it on, this will tell you if the pump is goosed or not, either attach your temp pipe thing and send it back to the pool or prepare to get wet, chances are your filter is blocking any flow...

New pool owner, can I do this?

Sorry shodges, I was referring to the outlet from the pump, if there is a downstream blockage/valve closed the pump cant actually pump, it may be able to clear the little water from the strainer basket out but nowhere near enough volume to suck from the pool and prime/run. I would expect you...

New pool owner, can I do this?

Have you tried disconnecting the 'out' from the pump? and seeing if you get any suction? Maybe your filter or something downstream is so clogged up there is no path out for the water If there is a blockage after the pump then if it cant blow it cant suck... You might get wet :)

Hi & question re slamming pool

The big blue 15L tubs of 'Pool chlorine' from Bunnings or elsewhere are 12.5% chlorine, last time I bought one it was approx $12 though you pay a deposit on the container and just swap out the empties for full ... Pool math suggests you need approx 4.4L of this to go from 0-24FC on your 23,500Lpool

Do I need a variable speed pump?

One thing to be mindful of is will the low speed on your 2 speed keep your SW chlorinator full, I have a VS speed pump which would happily run at 800rpm but anything less than about 1200rpm the SWG cell housing wont stay full of water causing the low flow error and the whole thing shuts off...

New to pools downunder please help

fgin, one thing to consider, your pool FC will behave differently with/without the cover on. I am currently heating mine(heat pump) so have the cover on when not in use, once dec/jan gets here i'll probably leave it off until march, it'll pretty much stay at 26 by itself. SWG Level/Pump run...

    Copper sulphate based Algacide -

I found something from NQ-100 Complete Test Kit - NQ Pool Test Kits which seems to be like the TF100 the folks like here, they were low on stock though the other day. Without knowing your cya you can't really be on top of your FC, now you have algae its more important than ever to have good...

    Copper sulphate based Algacide -

Farsonic, I have the P600's baby brother the p320 in my 40k Litre pool, I did some calculations that 800rpm would theoretically have been more than enough to keep my pool clean, however 800 rpm isn't enough to keep the SWG cell full and not trip out with a low flow error. The P600 should be...
