When adding salt to the pool

I think you'll be fine leaving it on for a single bag add. I do it.

Pool size based on salt add

The pool is rather irregular shape, spa is easy calculation though, I'll eventually take the time to try and calculate it out. I was just trying to see if using the salt recommendations would be a good way to determine pool size. But as rdmustang mentioned he gets a higher recommendation as well.

Pool size based on salt add

So I've been running along for 2 years thinking my pool is 18K gallons or so. Each time I use the pool calculator to determine how much salt to add it is telling me to add almost 2x as much as really needed to reach the target level. The first year I ended up adding too much due to this. For...

    iaqualink IQ-20RS installation

Very easy to do the board swap. I don't recall any issues when I did mine. I did hard wire my iaqualink though instead of using WIFI. I went through the menus on my old PDA to write everything down first then reprogrammed it all using iOS afterwards. I don't think you'll have any problem...

    Salt for SWG?

As mentioned here don't add the full amount right away. Add 1/2 to 3/4 like bobdaclown says and also give it a few days and then retest the salt level. If your tested salt level differs from what is shown on your SWG then you can usually do a recalibration on the SWG so they match up assuming...

Merry Xmas all!! Pool cleaner question

I leave my Polaris 280 in all the time and set it to run for just one hour every day. The only time I remove it is when I expect more than a few people to be swimming that day. I've had to replace the bag on it each season so not sure if the bag degrades more when constantly submerged but they...

    Jandy Visio diagraming stencils

Couldn't find anything, so created one for my equipment. Feel free to use attached stencil if you also use OmniGraffle. I'll upload it to Graffletopia eventually.

    Jandy Visio diagraming stencils

Does anyone have diagram stencils for Visio or Omnigraffle? I wanted to diagram my equipment and flow but don't want to create from scratch. Below is a link to some example diagrams. http://www.poolcenter.com/plumbingSchematics

    jandy iaqualink

bobbyjo is correct, additionally: 1) I kept my Palm thinking i'd use it since it is water resistant (but not waterproof) and I haven't used it a single time. I just use the iPhone app always. You'll find that is much more responsive and probably won't want to use the slower palm remote...
