    Hayward Superpump Making Buzzing Noise

This was it. Was able to spin the impeller a little and you could hear where it was rubbing on something at a certain point in its rotation. Just kept pulling pieces of grass out and kept turning it off/on to try and clear it and it finally did clear. Thanks a bunch!

    Hayward Superpump Making Buzzing Noise

Hey all, my pump has been running just fine and all of the sudden, started to make this buzzing/humming noise. I've attached a youtube showing what it's doing and then powering it off so you can hear it spinning down too. Pump is about 4 years old I believe. *Edit, the clicking you are...

Best Places to Buy Liquid Chlorine

Can you fill me in on how to use this? Sounds like a good alternative should all the puck users start sucking up our LC supply.

Best Places to Buy Liquid Chlorine

The Walmart stores in OKC area have the usual LC 10.5% for 3.74/gallon. The ones I saw were dated the 98th day of this year so really fresh (April 8th thereabouts).

    SWG Installation Help

Long story short, I bought a complete Aquarite Gold system and T-15 cell at a garage sale for $40 a few years back! The guy's story was that he had it installed but could never get it the way he wanted and was selling the home. He didn't like the buyers of his home so he pulled it off and...

So... there is no bleach in this town. Should I use pucks for a while...?

Home Depot sells liquid chlorine for pools but beware that around here, it's always stored outside in lawn/garden where there is so much temperature fluctuation that any benefit of getting the higher percentage bleach is negated. It's usually also much older and will have lost 50% of its...

Drained pool, SLAM'ed, and now CYA too low?

Welcome to the forums kind southerly neighbor! I recommend this CYA kit as it includes much more reagent and to me, is much easier to use than the portion of the Taylor kit for CYA. Amazon.com : Blue Devil Cyanuric Acid Test Kit for Swimming Pools, 4 oz. : Garden & Outdoor I used to get...

    Chlorine deal

You're lucky. Around here, as soon as the 4th of July is over, the Walmart locations around here all believe that no one swims after the 4th and they start to deplete their inventory without re-ordering it. By the end of July and first of August, it becomes an exercise in frustration even...

Walmart Pool Essentials - Stock Up?

Both Lowes and Home Depot carry liquid chlorine but the problem is, they stock it outdoors and don't seem to ever get rid of old inventory so you could effectively be buying chlorine from the previous season if you're not careful. Even here in Oklahoma where it's not uncommon to go for a dip in...

CC rising, very windy and tons of pollen and organic debris being blown in

It came back down after about 24hrs to .5 at best (very, very slightly pinkish hue to the clear water). So it most likely was the pollen and Crud blowing around.

CC rising, very windy and tons of pollen and organic debris being blown in

Could this be the cause? FInished a SLAM and passed the OCLT test last week. Numbers are near perfect, yet CC started off at 0 after the SLAM, stayed that way for a couple of days, then rose to .5ppm. As of yesterday, it's now at 1.0ppm. Here in Oklahoma, everything is off the charts...

Anyone have experience with Tiger Shark In-ground Pool Cleaner?

I have a Hayward Sharkvac which is a lower tiered cleaner than the one you posted. It's pretty simplistic in that it doesn't have a caddy, remote, or any of the bells and whistles of more expensive cleaners and isn't designed to climb walls (it sometimes does until it realizes it shouldn't...

Best Places to Buy Liquid Chlorine

PIcked up some Pool Essentials at the local Walmart. Date was 22nd day of 2019 so fairly fresh.

New re-plaster in the fall, rough finish / scaling on first spring opening.

Wow, 20x40, the photo really obfiscates the width of it and makes it look much more narrow. As long as you know what it is, that's all that matters!
