Hey Jim. I sure did. Started with the heater actually, then disconnected both pumps as well as the entertainment system and everything else except the control panel.

Winds tend to come from the south, west, and north. The skimmers are on the west side of the pool. Fortunately it isn’t that windy here, but when it is, it’s either early or late season.

I do have weir doors. Also, TIL that they are called weir doors and not skimmer flaps. I will adjust my valves to achieve a calm flow and not a tornado! Thanks!

I can, yes. With all valves wide open, my skimmers do suck hard. There’s a nice “tornado” in the skimmer. I just didn’t know if my jets weren’t aimed correctly.

Well, I got the hundreds of worms sucked out of the bottom and mains. I took the grates off and noticed a crack in the gasket ring on the left side main drain. That’s likely part of my problem. I’m letting the water drain out of the gap between the liner and the main housing and sucking it out...
