    IntelliBrite 5g LED beam angle

I have one in my pool and not a single issue with "dead spots", even with the kidney design. Granted, having a second one in the other end of the pool would be nice but set in the "wide" position this lens does a good job of filling the pool with light.

    Pool friendly trees

I don't have any good suggestions for trees in your zone, unfortunately. I would recommend fake trees if they like the look or you can xeroscape and go for the bare/clean look.

    Light replacement

Are you just changing out the bulb or the whole unit with cable and everything? I'm having to do the cable/ballast/light/all of it in the coming months. Not looking forward to that.

A year ago my pump went out and I replaced it with an A.O. S

Re: A year ago my pump went out and I replaced it with an A. Sounds like downsizing your pump to something more practical (and efficient) would be the ideal situation.

    Spa won't stay running, ideas?

Hey guys, My hot tub/spa has seen better days and I'm now having consistent issues with keeping it running/pumping. Filled the spa up a few weeks ago, cleaned it really good, put in chemicals. Kicked it on (110V, running to a 20Amp outlet with nothing else on it) and it ran for about 30...

    Intellibrite 5G Placement

Your logic is sound. I don't see any reason to do it the way they suggest. If nothing else, having it on both ends should provide more even light.

    A huge mess

Can you take a picture of your equipment pad and pool and post it here? Would help us diagnose for you if we saw what you were working with.

    Replacing Sand Filter with a....?

I looked at the Quad 80 before I bought he CCP420. They both looked great but knowing that I tend to let my pool go to a swamp over the winter, I was leery of buying DE for the constant backwashing while getting it back to clear. That said, in your situation, the Quads would be a good pick.

    VAC and then Chlorine?

Yeah, vacuum whatever you can to waste so it won't end up in your filter. Then shock to clear any remaining suspended algae, test, adjust, filter, enjoy,

Plumbing pool are 90 degree angles allowed?

I did all sweep/street 90s when I re-did my plumbing. Found it's a lot easier to prime now than before and I get a lot less air bubbles on the suction side.

    Where to buy borax

I'll back up Target. Got some for $3.29 the other day. You may also want to check the dollar stores. I think Family Dollar carries it.
