Refurbishing my vinyl in-ground pool and equipment. Advice please :-)

super, thanks! I'll look into Circu Thanks for the advice! I'll check out that Hayward. I was told my heater was not salt water compatible plus it's pretty old so I'll upgrade to a mid efficient heater.

Refurbishing my vinyl in-ground pool and equipment. Advice please :-)

I'm replacing the liner, skimmer, pump, heater, chlorinator and probably some other stuff too! There's a lot to unpack here so feel free to just pick and choose any or all... 1) It's a 14 x 28' vinyl pool 8' deep with a small shallow end. Estimate 55,000 Litres. We are removing the entire...

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of this tragic incident.:cry: A reminder that drowning is often silent. Those supervising must stay vigilant.

Thinking about changing over to SWCG!

Thinking about changing over to SWCG!

Thanks for the resource. This site is awesome!! I actually completed the drain this past weekend. I took it down to about 2" high in the shallow end. The liner was just starting to ripple in places at that point so did not go further. I figured I got about 50% of the water replaced, took a...

Thinking about changing over to SWCG!

Thanks Maddie, I have a solar blanket which collects the Crud which then falls into the pool while I wind it up to remove it from the water. I think an automatic cover that I could sweep off before I wind it off would be a great idea and when it comes time to renovate the pool I will check that...

Unfortunately you can't backwash these. You have to drain the bell (release the pressure), unscrew all the clamps, lift off the heavy 'lid' and pull out the wet cartridges. I then spend about an hour hosing off each and every pleat in the filter.
