There is no break on the pipe at all its a clean pull apart, I think that's exactly what it was, you hit the nail on the head.

This certainly is going to suck refilling it....hope I don't blow up my well pump.

I'm assuming this had something to do with it? How gross. This doesn't look like it's been cleaned in months.
