Best way to increase Alkalinity and PH?

Perfect! Thanks for the tip. I'll start with raising the TA to 70 with the baking soda tonight! @Donldson, not particularly actually. And I didn't have that many issues at first when I opened the pool. I did go through a SLAM process earlier in the season due to algae. Also, I do use a...

Best way to increase Alkalinity and PH?

Hi there, I discovered that my Alkalinity and PH were really low and wanted best course of action in order to raise both. Here are results as of yesterday: FC:12 CC:0 CYA: 70 PH: 6.8 TA: 40 So I do need to raise the TA and PH. Current plan according to Poolmath is to add for the TA about...

    Green Water - Pollen?

I finally got the TF100 testing kit in on Wednesday. In the meantime I did slam in the dark flying blind as the situation was pretty critical. My water is back to a nice blue. I did not empty any water. When I tested my water two days ago: PH: 7 CYA: 65 FC: 37.5 CC: 1 The FC was definitely...

    Green Water - Pollen?

Yeap! I was thinking of using a pool hose, but that one's only 35 feet and where I want to dump the water would be more in the 50-70 feet range so I'm going to have to use a plain old garden hose ;)

    Green Water - Pollen?

Got it! I was actually thinking of maybe buying one that I can just keep! I was checking the rental submersible pumps and figured for the price it might just be worth buying one!

    Green Water - Pollen?

Hi there! Yes there is a high water table in the area. The neighborhood was originally built on springs and I run sub pumps in my basement. My garden does get saturated with water if there is a ton of rain. I was planning on leaving 1 foot of water. I'll make sure to leave 2. Also, I...

    Green Water - Pollen?

    Green Water - Pollen?

Perfect - thanks. I will go with that method and let you all know how it goes. I might swap out some water first. Regarding CYA, I did add stabilizer per their recommendation, hence the spike. Since I was an absolute newbie I went with their recommendations, slowly now figuring out after a...

    Green Water - Pollen?

Ok - so actually I had done a couple of pool store tests as I was opening the pool and the last one was on 5/26. Noticed I could actually go online in my account and the results are all there. Posting a screenshot of all the results. No trace of iron or copper. Let me know your thoughts!

    Green Water - Pollen?

Sounds good - I will get both samples to a pool store this weekend and have them test for iron and copper. There is no well. By healthy water exchange you mean just removing half of the water and then re-adding? I'll post pool store copper/iron results by Sunday evening! Thanks for all the...

    Green Water - Pollen?

Hi! Thanks for the detailed response. There are a couple of products laying around: 1. Leslie's Algaecide 2. Metal Free 3. Leslie's Ultra Bright I haven't tried those as of yet. I'll update my signature asap with my pool equipment! It is definitely a "brighter" green. What shocked me the most...

    Green Water - Pollen?

Hi! Thanks for the warm welcome! I actually think that the previous owner left me one of these kits. I've been using the regular old strip tests (6 way results). I'll check on if I have a kit laying in the shack when I get home!
