Trouble lowering PH after adding Borax

I had already bought the dry acid and plan on going back to MA. As it turns out, I needed twice as much acid as the pool calculator predicted. I am now at ph 7.5 ta 70. Life is good. If I were to do it again, I think I would have used a PH balanced borate product it Boric acid instead of borax...

Trouble lowering PH after adding Borax

Good Afternoon, I decided to add Borax to my pool after reading the benefits of borites. I used pool calculator which suggested 40 lbs of borax for my 12000 gal pool followed up with 2 gal of MA. Any DIY PLC setups out there?

For sure, IM going to start with the PLC just controlling the pool pump and then add functionality. I have not found weight cells that will meet my needs.

Any DIY PLC setups out there?

IM thinking of cannibalizing the relay from my timer and controlling it from a Click PLC. I may even put some load cells under the chlorine tank so I can stenner pump exact measurements. Probably over kill but a fun project. Anyone done anything like that?

    Polaris Quattro Sport vs Robot

Great! thanks for your responses. I went ahead and ordered the Pentair Warrior SE. The quatro would have added an additional $1,500.00 to the pool. I was also worried about the cost of running the pump plus booster. I live in California and get my power from PG&E at a ridiculous rate.

    Polaris Quattro Sport vs Robot

Hello, Great Forum! I am new to the Forum and my name is Dave. I am midway through installation of a 300sf inground pool. The company constructing has suggested the Polaris Quattro Sport for cleaning. They quoted $1,500.00 and I don't mind paying it but wanted to compare it to robots at the same...
