I turned freeze protection down to 35 degrees f. I set the pump to run automagically from 2am to 6am. My thinking is keeping the pump running while we are in the coldest hours of the night will prevent any ice from forming. Criticisms, suggestions?

Past four days I have: 1. Installed new rope return pulleys on my auto cover. 2. Adjusted the auto cover alignment. 3. Pondered why it still so sluggish when closing. 4. Tested chemistry and adjusted PH down. Next week I'll backwash/fill and probably shut down for winter.

My Hayward Goldline T-15 was acting funky this year, cleaned it and it showed 000PPM for a few days. During that time I purchased a replacement. Low and behold two days later the cell stabilizes and starts acting reliably (story of my life). Since I know I'm going to need this one eventually...
