New one came in today. As soon as I got home, setup -- in the pool, cleaning -- brushing, climbing the stairs. I watched it for several minutes -- my wife asked me if I was going to watch all night. I might. :)

I agree. Even three years ($300-$400/yr) is worth it to me -- savings in labor using suction based vacs and having to clean the filters so often. In CFL, we have alot of sand that gets in our pool, even with an enclosure. I was having to clean the filter sometimes every few weeks or more...

Came here for the same advice to replace my Dolphin Active 20. My son cleaned it and it was out de-kinking the cable. I threw it in -- powered it up. It moved a couple feet back, then forward, then stopped. Took it apart to check the impeller -- all is clean. I guess it was its time...
