Yes the water is clear. The app says ideal for TA is 60-80 so that's why I was worried.

    Issues with stabilizing chemicals

I am using the Taylor K-2006C test kit. Chlorinating with Bleach either 10% from Walmart if it gets shipped in time or the 13.5% from Leslies if I cant get it in from Walmart. I put in 5lbs of dry acid on Sunday, testing today numbers are: FC: 7.5 CC: 0 PH: 7.4 TA: 140 CH: 325 CYA: 60

    Issues with stabilizing chemicals

Hi all, I am having issues getting my numbers under control and I am wondering if possibly it's due to heat and evaporation in Houston right now. I am adding water every other day to keep the level high enough. My alkalinity is always 130-150 no matter how much dry acid I put in. PH tends to be...

    Eyeball inlets

Does anyone know a cheaper place to find these? Or a 3d print model of them? Is it possible to retrofit into the new screw in style? 20$ a piece seems like a lot. Thanks! https://www.sapasopools.com/Eyeball-Inlet-Kit-084280125

    Pump slowly losing prime

Hi All, Great news, water is clear, CC is 0 and OCLT is at about 1ppm (49 drops last night on 10ML sample vs 47 this morning) I think I am all done for SLAM! I guess now I wait for FC to drop below 11 then fix the PH/Alkalinity? Chris

    Pump slowly losing prime

Hi All, First of thank you all for you help. The pool is now clear, pump holds prime until the filter pressure rises, that weirdly is still happening about every 24-36 hours. I did replace all the DE Grids as I believe they are older and I figured it wouldn't hurt. A couple of things, there is...

    Pump slowly losing prime

Chemical update. CYA is at 60 after 24 hours, waiting to re-test again tomorrow. FC - TC test (just dropper test not powder) is still showing 0 for total chlorine, 1-2 for FC. I added 3 gallons of Bleach per PoolMath yesterday. Should I be adding more again? after entering results this afternoon...

    Pump slowly losing prime

Apparently my recirculate dumps water out to the street, so it looks like I will be babysitting the filter this weekend

    That answers that question!

    Pump slowly losing prime

So I was talking to a co worker. Would it make sense to just drain the pool and start from scratch? The pool is older so I could get it looked at if there is any issues with the plaster. My light is broken so I could fix that too. Would that end up cheaper and easier than trying to fix the pool...

    Pump slowly losing prime

@Texas Splash Just to confirm, from reading the SLAM process vs what you were saying in your post. Should I be dumping Chlorine in the pool first then doing the sock method? or sock first? Thanks!

    Pump slowly losing prime

Basically yes, it is, its dark outside so cant take a picture now. Yes I believe it is a plaster pool, in ground. Ill check the filter info tomorrow morning and add it to my signature.

    Pump slowly losing prime

Hi @Texas Splash I will get some muriatic acid tomorrow to add to the pool. If I am meant to be running the filter 24/7 during this process how should I handle the pump pressure raising while sleeping / at work? I did not get the test kit with FAS-DPD. Should I order that separately?
