    Ignored pool

Dad got sent to hospital and left his pool too long before I could come up North to check it and a white cloud seems to come right through the cartridge filters. Was all green and corrected the chemistry but the remaining particles are smaller that the filter. It is Gunite 20000gal with 150 sq...

    inspections enough?

Failed inspection, the builder put 5 ground wires for the grid around the pool, and the inspector wants 6. So they sent over 3 guys who chipped two big holes right through the wall looking for rebar. The inspector said "one whole side lacked a ground wire, and why did they put 5 wires spread on...

    inspections enough?

New pool being done in South Fl. and I've been watching it done. I realize every part of the country must do it differently, but the basics of strong concrete are the same. This one is going to be connected to a porch with a cage put around it. First, they got down 7' where of course water table...

    Pavers over concrete deck

Yes but if you have 4" bullnose at the curves, will it look ok to use longer faces when you can, on the straight runs? Or should they all be 4"?

    Pavers over concrete deck

Getting quotes on having travertine set and have a aesthetic question. Is it ok to use 24" coping on the straight runs and 4" on the curves? I haven't even noticed if that is normal practice on other pools.

Hello everyone, I'm not sure if it's a problem but am getting air in the system.

I have ran the pump with only one line open at a time as my first post indicated. So, unless the valves aren't closing properly,, it's gotta be getting air from the valves to the pump. When it stops pouring out I will try flowing water over each valve, each connection, the pump drains and the...

Hello everyone, I'm not sure if it's a problem but am getting air in the system.

I'll try the water again and try saran wrap, then orings, but I think it may be under the slab. The slab has multiple cracks although none have dropped off plane with each other. If all else fails, is it possible to snake flexible 1.5" inside the 2"? I don't know how it could be connected at the...

Hello everyone, I'm not sure if it's a problem but am getting air in the system.

Thank you for the video. I tried it today and don't notice the cavitation going away or even changing at all. It looks like everything except for the motor itself is fairly sun aged and chalky so maybe it is sucking air in multiple locations. I haven't even tried replacing the pumps oring, but...

Hello everyone, I'm not sure if it's a problem but am getting air in the system.

It's not a VS motor. It's a no name brand 3450 rpm 1.65 hp similar to the AO Smith. All 2" except for the bypass and a 2' section coming off the roof. It does seem like quite a head for that pump but you barely notice a pressure drop when the flow is going through the panels. I don't know why...

Hello everyone, I'm not sure if it's a problem but am getting air in the system.

To start I have 6, 4 by 10 roof mounted panels with a temp sensor and electric valve. You know when the valve to the solar opens because all the air gets pushed out into the pool. But air gets trapped at the filter and basket. I've tried eliminating feeds from the pool by shutting each valve...

New to South Fl., in older house with older pool.

Hi everyone, we just purchased a home with an in ground pool which is inside a lanaii. It's a smaller pool with a max depth of 5'. Needs some care such as water Line tile grout and a palm tree hanging over it dropping junk too often. I continued using the pool guy that the previous owners used...
