What do you think of this hard plumb?

Unfortunately not. It was over phone- and I did confirm on two separate calls. I also asked the tech if it would be extra twice and he said no, just the parts. The labor tripled. He was very nice and the company was nice on phone so ill call monday and discuss with them. Hopefully can get a...

What do you think of this hard plumb?

Thank you. Do those not screw off then? Theres no way for me to disconnect just the heater, id have to take a few feet of pipe with it is that right? Included pic of skimmer. Its hayward, i cut into the intex a few years ago (ignore wrapping it was to protect plastic in winter)

What do you think of this hard plumb?

thank u! Ugh, I asked for unions either side of each equipment piece so I can easily disconnect, I thought thats what those white screw things were. The glue scares me because Im probably not going to be able to move the backflow to the other side of the bypass now am I? This was a pool store...

What do you think of this hard plumb?

Had this done by local pool store, wasnt there and have a few thoughts. Needed the bypass on the heater as pump is 1hp and water needs to go through it slower since only 20k btu. Thinking the backflow should be between heater and where the by pass joins before the salt generator rather than...

Automated timer for solar heater based on weather

thanks, seems like the controllers are pricey- i think ill do this summer manually and if Im happy with the solar heater ill get the controller next year. If solar doesn’t work out i plan to get a heat pump but will require a dedicated higher amp circuit so putting that off.

Automated timer for solar heater based on weather

I want to only run water through the solar panel when it will heat the pool. If its a dull day or cold I don’t want to run it. I don’t want to have to watch weather each day and manually put on pump when it meets the criteria. Is there a better way? Is there a timer that looks at the outside...

Best solar heater for 16ft round

Ive looked through articles here some are old and hard to decipher the best solar heater to buy in terms of effectiveness and quality. *I have no interest in DIY- ill just get frustrated. We live in chicago and my goal would be to put the solar panel on the garage roof. I have a spare intex...

Heat pump vs electric btus different

Ok thanks thats a good point. I heard heat pumps can keep the temperature warm for less $ than an electric heater but that it takes longer to heat up. Am I right in thinking the issue would be just with the first heat up of a freshly filled pool or any major temperature drops due to weather? I...

Heat pump vs electric btus different

Im looking to heat a 5500 gallon pool and have learned on here to size up on heaters so it heats faster. When looking at the electric heaters i would need 100+ btus but apparently the heat pump of 50k btus will heat up to 13k gallons. are they rated differently? Anything else i need to...

    Replacing intex system

Yes - looks like it was quickrete- i thought it was #20 but it has a different number. The particle size was supposedly correct comparing packaging to pump requirements but maybe, like you say, it was not the correct sand in the pack.

    Replacing intex system

I have a summer waves 16x48 round pool and got the intex all in one krystal clear sand filter pump and salt water generator its 2150gph. Since we got it it has always put sand in the pool through the regular filter setting and even more during backwash/rinse. We used the #20 sand. Its definitely...
