I didn't do the SLAM process because I didn't think there was algae present. I think the chlorine just dropped, so I shocked. If I had algae, wouldn't the CC be higher?

Ok, did the extended test and CYA is at 40. Thank you for that link. I think my problem was distinguishing when the black dot was gone!

Did a 20% water change last night and let the system circulate overnight. Tested again this morning and my TA is higher, 160, CYA is the same, 90! I don't understand this at all. Nothing was added to the water since the change!!! I tested twice, same results. Very frustrating. Any ideas?
