On a side note, we just bought and installed a RayPak Avia 400 to replace our Pentair unit. I have to say the Raypak is leagues better as far as build quality goes.

Hi All, update- The “new” generic board was indeed bad. Plugged in the new Pentair circuit board and everything works perfect now. So lesson here is don’t buy generic circuit boards off eBay! Thanks for everyone’s help.

I'm ordering new "authentic" board. Hope that's it. Allen, you mentioned, ", you will also need to update the heater to have the 6 button keypad." Do you just mean to get the associated membrane or is there any additional wiring needed? Thanks.

Was sold out so link didn't work, but here's a screen shot: They claimed it worked with all MasterTemps. Obviously didn't for mine.

So my fear is if I buy a new (and correct) board, will it just cook it?

Oh wow, good eyes. yes looks like my "new" board is different. I got it off Ebay with the membrane pad.

It's currently wired now that is the same of how it was for the 4 years since our pool install. Didn't change any wiring around. Now that the new board is cooked, I'm thinking back at what was the original and first issue that I noticed. And that is the heater seemed to disconnect from the...

Here it is now. (Notice I wired back the yellow wires as was before (not jumping the fireman switch)

The Display doesn't show anything. The membrane also appears dead. Pool/Spa buttons do nothing. Up/down, nothing. No lights whatsoever. I don't have a pic right now, but this is what I mean by the "yellow" wires. I saw on another thread to wire like this to get it started. Nothing...
