    Saturation Index??

Hello, my name is Cesar and I am more so have been learning how to take care of a pool and spa for the past year and a half. I am still modestly a beginner but i think ive come a long way... But yeah I'll skip the boring stuff and get to the point... So basically i was looking for an honest...

    Alkinity & ph relationship

Hello I was wondering what the relationship was like with alkinity and PH in spas as I know that they get so much aeration you want your alkinity to be around 30-40ppm. Or at least that whatr has worked for me considering I have a 1,000 Gallon spa. Although what I am confused about is something...

    How to read a flowmeter?

Hello, I was wondering how to read a flowmeter. I can see that on the flowmeter it has two sides that say "SCH 80" and "SCH 40", so I'm wondering what significance these things have. Also I've noticed that when you try to read the GPM, the markings don't go in order? If you're looking at one...

    Vacuum Losing Suction

It was exactly the same (15). I'll have a word with him for the sake of this post just to see what exactly he did.

    Vacuum Losing Suction

It seems to be working fine now, I'm probably just rushing the vacuum or something because I had little to no trouble today doing it a little slower. But as I have remembered that I would lose suction in the past in the middle of a vacuum? Just recently I've been trying to be more conscientious...

    Vacuum Losing Suction

Hello I wanted to post this as soon as possible to fix this if it were to get any worse. I have noticed that I'm losing suction to my vacuum when I try to do a vacuum to my pool. The suction at the bottom of the skimmer basket where I usually stick my hose in doesn't have a real strong suction...

    Spa Chlorinator acting funny

I understood what you meant by getting the alkalinity at something like 50 ppm and that somehow keeps the PH stable. That's fine. But it seems counter-intuitive when everything says keep an 80-120 range. I'm still in the process of all of this but I thank you for the reply.

    Spa Chlorinator acting funny

My question is why are we aiming for a 50 ppm total alkalinity level when the recommended range is 80-120 ppm? I have heard that keeping a LOW Total Alkalinity level will give you a LOW PH level and a HIGH Total Alkalinity level will give you a HIGH PH level. Shouldn't the PH and Alkalinity...

    Spa Chlorinator acting funny

I figured how to keep my chlorine in check is to just put about 1/2 or 1/4 a tab in my chlorinator instead of a full tab. A pool service guy told me that one puck is made for 10,000 gallons of water and considering my spa is only 1,000 gallons I should break down the puck to about 1/2 or 1/4 its...

    Spa Chlorinator acting funny

Hello, I'm new to this site and the only reason I'm here is because I'm relatively new when it comes to pools and just recently started taking it a little more seriously. Hopefully you guys can help me out because like I said I'm not an expert. Ok, so I have a chlorinator for my spa that uses...
