If you want to be 100% sure, get a Multimeter and Non-Contact Voltage Tester. Using the Multimeter, it will show you the voltage. The Non-contact Voltage tester will only show you if the line is a Hot line or Neutral. Best to test with the Multimeter, I just like having the non-contact voltage...
