Our pool service was $35/week plus extra for filter washing and other non-traditional chemicals... including phosphorus removing chemicals. I'm mad about that because as I learn more, I see they were charging me for stuff that didn't matter. Grrrrrrrr... We're in the pool all the time. So...

Thanks everyone for all the encouragement. The test kit arrives today, so the real work starts this week. One more bonus to firing the pool guy? The dogs don't go bananas for the 15-minutes he was here every week :) .

I've been consistently watching more and more mustard algae disappear. We're getting there! And, I don't even have my testing kit yet. At the moment, I'm glad I fired my pool guy!

Thank you. The Slam started with the pool guy. That’s how we parted ways. I have test strips and I’ve been tracking it. The test kit shows up Thursday. I’ll be gentle until I get the tools I need.
