I will do all this and thank you for your help. It never has gotten this bad before. The test kit I have is a Taylor. I wonder if the hot weather in the 100's mix with 15minute down pours of rain every other day has something to do with it?

The cc should be the first reading of chlorine and the FC was the second reading. I hope that isn't to confusing.

My pool is has been green for a week now coming back from vacation. I've adjusted the chemicals, but the pool is still green. My readings from 10 minutes ago is. Should I add more bleach? CC- 5 FC- 5 PH- 7.8 TA- 120 CH- 160 CYA- 50

I am having a pool party with about 30 people with kids. They will be in and out of the pool all day .I was wondering do I need ti put more bleach in my pool to raise my chlorine. MyFC is at 4. Weather today is going to be in the 90's with 70% humidity.

I will start doing this today when I get home from work. I do have a 3-way valve. Thanks alot for all your help. Brett

This is probally a silly question. should set my pump at 6 o'clock until the water gets below the skimmer and then set to 9 o'clock so it only drains from the bottom. I feel retarded asking but I never done this before? Or would that be too much draining at one time. Brett

Thanks for the reply. Everything else is pretty good. my water is very clear. So should I concentrate on not adding other chemicals until i get my CYA right?

My CYA is at 100. The pool calculator says to replace 60% of my pool water to get at a 40 reading. I have a 14,000g fiberglass pool that I have never drained before, except for your basic backwash. Do I drain all at once or a little at a time? Will the pressure from draining all at once crack...

MY CH is reading at 210 I would like be a little higher.

I need to raise my CH in the pool. Do I need to buy this at the pool store or, can I use the ice melt that is 97% Calcium Chloride, If so should I dissolve the pellets first in water before I put it in the pool?
