How long should you wait after adding the muriatic acid before swimming?

Anyone have any experience with fiber optic lighting. I think I need to replace the bulb, a 150 watt metal halide lamp. Anyone know where to find a replacement bulb and how hard it is to replace?

My SWG stopped working last year and I don't think I will replace it right now so the pool is basically the BBB method. Do I still need to lower my pH and TA or should I just go ahead and shock? If I do lower pH, how long should I wait after I add the acid befor adding the bleach?

My pH looked to be around 8.4 and my TA was 140 my question is should I use Trichlor since it raises FC and adds CYA while lowering pH (according to pool calculator)?
