I was in the same position a couple of months ago and decided to spend the extra money and go with the dolphin s50 and upgraded to the fine filter. The fine filter and the rotating brush is well worth the cost increase. My pool water is cleaner than it has ever been and the energy I now expend...

Sorry, can’t help you with that one. However, just to give you a heads up, when mine first started not staying latched I emailed Maytronics and they told me to take it back to the dealer where I purchased it and open up a repair ticket on it.

I was having the same problem with mine, especially after I added the fine filter basket due to the spring loaded handle on the basket pressing up against the lid. So, I very carefully pulled the blue latch from the lid, and then, very carefully bent the two parts of the latch that connects to...

Haven’t tried an Aquabot. That was my second choice but after researching them out, I decided to go with the Dolphin.

Wasn’t cheap, gave $499 for mine.

I had a Polaris Turbo Turtle and it was ok, but it was nothing like the Dolphin. The turtle ran off the pool’s return and didn’t get the small stuff.

I have a Wanda that I’d been using, but last week I upgraded to a Dolphin S50. So far, there’s no comparison...the Dolphin is better, faster, and easier!

Thanks for the responses! I came to the same conclusion after researching the web and ended up buying an S50 yesterday for $499 from my local pool supply store. I used it today to clean my pool and it did a great job...thinking I’m gonna love this thing!

Manny, thanks for the response. I’ve got an outlet that about 5’ from the pool, but it’s near one end of the pool and the instructions say to set the cleaner up as near the middle of the long side of the pool. I guess I could install a gfci plug near the area where I would be setting the unit up.

I’ve got an 18’x33’ AGP, and after much research I pulled the trigger on a Dolphin S50 from my local pool store today. Now I’m totally confused and unsure of my purchase. According to what I’ve read online, the S50 is the same cleaner as the E10. Both come with a 40’ cord. On Doheny’s web site...
