I was in the same position a couple of months ago and decided to spend the extra money and go with the dolphin s50 and upgraded to the fine filter. The fine filter and the rotating brush is well worth the cost increase. My pool water is cleaner than it has ever been and the energy I now expend...

    S50 top cover help

Sorry, can’t help you with that one. However, just to give you a heads up, when mine first started not staying latched I emailed Maytronics and they told me to take it back to the dealer where I purchased it and open up a repair ticket on it.

    S50 top cover help

I was having the same problem with mine, especially after I added the fine filter basket due to the spring loaded handle on the basket pressing up against the lid. So, I very carefully pulled the blue latch from the lid, and then, very carefully bent the two parts of the latch that connects to...

    Best AG pool cleaner

Haven’t tried an Aquabot. That was my second choice but after researching them out, I decided to go with the Dolphin.

    Best AG pool cleaner

Wasn’t cheap, gave $499 for mine.

    Best AG pool cleaner

I had a Polaris Turbo Turtle and it was ok, but it was nothing like the Dolphin. The turtle ran off the pool’s return and didn’t get the small stuff.

    Best AG pool cleaner

I have a Wanda that I’d been using, but last week I upgraded to a Dolphin S50. So far, there’s no comparison...the Dolphin is better, faster, and easier!

    What's your pool cleaners name?

Hey Yippie, though the Lost in Space robot has always been my all-time favorite robot, my memory’s not that good...but Google’s is[emoji6]

    What's your pool cleaners name?

I just bought a Dolphin S50 this week and I’ve officially named it “Robot” in memory of the robot from my favorite childhood TV show, Lost in Space. It seems fitting since the Lost in Space robot was described as a “Class B-9-M-3 General Utility Non-Theorizing Environmental Control Robot”, and...

    Dolphin S50 or E10

Thanks for the responses! I came to the same conclusion after researching the web and ended up buying an S50 yesterday for $499 from my local pool supply store. I used it today to clean my pool and it did a great job...thinking I’m gonna love this thing!

    Dolphin S50 Help Needed!

10-4. Before I put it into operation, I’m thinking I’m gonna call Maytronics today and ask them if I bought the right one.

    Dolphin S50 Help Needed!

Manny, thanks for the response. I’ve got an outlet that about 5’ from the pool, but it’s near one end of the pool and the instructions say to set the cleaner up as near the middle of the long side of the pool. I guess I could install a gfci plug near the area where I would be setting the unit up.

    Dolphin S50 Help Needed!

I’ve got an 18’x33’ AGP, and after much research I pulled the trigger on a Dolphin S50 from my local pool store today. Now I’m totally confused and unsure of my purchase. According to what I’ve read online, the S50 is the same cleaner as the E10. Both come with a 40’ cord. On Doheny’s web site...

Hi everyone, quick question: will an E10 work in an 18x33 AGP?

    Dolphin S50 or E10

Can anyone tell me if there’s any difference between the Dolphin S50 and the E10? Also, will this class of Dolphin work for an 18x33 AGP? Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

So Casey, you don't think that just putting the screenings around the perimeter where the wall will sit, and then, also using patio pads beneath each upright will be adequate? Provided that the remainder of the site has been adequately packed, of course.

New Member, New Construction, Foundation Question

The area around the perimeter where I put the concrete washout is totally solid. Also, my current circumstances are dictating that I have to put the project on hold for a couple of weeks, which actually may be good as to allow the site to be exposed to the elements (sunshine and occasional rain...

I've probably spent over 20 hours walking behind a plate compactor over the last four days. My site is like concrete. Just hope it holds up over the long haul.

New Member, New Construction, Foundation Question

You read my mind, Tech. Yesterday, I got a load of concrete "washout" (it's the left over material that they wash out of the concrete trucks) and I built a 6 inch thick ring with it around the perimeter of the pool for the wall to sit on. When I wet it and packed it in, it was literally like...

New Member, New Construction, Foundation Question

Hi Dave, thanks for the response. Yes, Ive given up on burying it two feet. At this point, I'm just trying to salvage the location. I've got two of the three inch lifts in (fill dirt with some clay mixed in) and it's packing like concrete. The instructions that came with the pool recommend...

New Member, New Construction, Foundation Question

Hey Casey, I've got another question for you (or anyone else who may know). I haven't been able to get any crushed stone. So, I called the Pool Factory and spoke with one of their tech guys about my problem. The guy said that I could backfill my hole with clean fill, bringing it up in three inch...

New Member, New Construction, Foundation Question

Thanks, Casey. So do you mean that I should dig down six inches past my two foot mark and then do two 3 inch liftsof the crushed stone material? Also, should I use a tamp for the compaction?

New Member, New Construction, Foundation Question

Hello everyone, Just signed onto the forum (been lurking for a while), looking forward to chatting about pool stuff with you guys. First, some info, I just bought an 18 x 33 Saltwater 8000 from the Pool Factory. My plan was to bury it 2 foot, so that we could build a deck coming off the house...
