    Move filter away from pump?

    Thanks for the sanity check.

    Move filter away from pump?

Thought I'd ask here before I do something regrettable. A few years ago I turned a nasty pool shed into a nice, usable pool house. I custom built a "love seat" over the pump, but space was limited by the filter housing. There are 12' pipes running behind the pool house bathroom to the heater...

    Nerd alert

My app is set up for SWG. The higher the CYA, the higher the chlorine level. My CYA dropped to 50 when I drained off a few inches of water after some extremely heavy rains here in Pittsburgh. The FC range also dropped to 2-8. I also like to maintain my FC at the higher-middle reading. When...

    Nerd alert

I used the borate test some members here created and posted in a thread. The strips don't last long, and are wildly inaccurate.

    Nerd alert

Anyone else get way too excited when their pool math app looks like this? The pool is not only clear, but has a sparkle to it. Converting to swg last year was the right decision. Although, it is a bit chilly.

    Borates Spike?

I went with the recommended strips in one of the forum posts.

    Borates Spike?

Yesterday in Pittsburgh we had some extremely heavy rain and storms. My swg pool is a disaster this morning, with a lot of leaves and sticks. I had to drain some water out because the rain filled the pool to the coping (probably about 4"). This morning, ph is 7.8, salt level dropped 200 ppm...

    Went to the pool store....

I have no idea what my phosphates are. I run my FC at 7.5 (swcg... range is 3-9) and mine is also your run of the mill, TFP clear pool.

    120v to 12v lighting help

I'm not certain, but i think it should be ok. 300 watts is the max for this converter so make sure the total watts of all the lights feeding from the junction is under 300 watts.

    120v to 12v lighting help

I did this same conversion a few years ago. I installed an Intermatic px300 and a multicolor led pool light from inyopools. The voltage converter is failsafe, but i don't trust it, so i have dedicated gfci breaker in my breaker box for my light. I replaced the light because the original 120v...

    Paint chipping from robot?

I have an old Dolphin Atlantis. I also have a pool with fiberglass walls and a concrete bottom. I painted the bottom with epoxy paint about 3 seasons ago. Last year, I hardly used the robotic cleaner at all, and the paint looked fantastic. This year, I've had the robot in all season, and the...
