I am having the exact same problem & now my pool tech is saying I can replace the drive at $1,200 plus or the pump at $1,900 plus!! When I asked if any other part might need to be fixed, prior to jumping straight to replacing ONLY a FOUR YEAR old pump - I got a Nope. Swallowing another...
