I ended up replacing the entire MPV. But if you’re still curious. Here is a picture of the bottom portion. The zoomed in picture is possibly the cause? Looks like a crack.

So my current idea is cut in these 2 places. Redo the left pip with a right angle. Install a union type construct on each new straight near the multiport valve.

Okay so I am about to replace my multiport valve due to leak issues. I’m going to have to cut the pipes due to the way it was installed. So how would I go about unions and where do I buy them in person in order to get them today? Are unions not the way to go? I attached one picture I found...
