    Lost 0.5 overnight (about 7 hours). Added some chlorine to bring it back up to 13. pH is now holding at 7.5

    Folks, Just hauled the cover off and fired up the pumps. With the SWCG off I get. FC = 5.5 CC = 0.5 TA = 40 CH = 30 CYA = 30-35 PH = 6.8 Borate = 30 (strip) Salt = 1700 (cell diagnostics) Can this be right?!?! The pool looks great! Man if this is where I am starting thank goodness I got...

    Folks, Getting ready to install a new H400FDN in my system. I have seen other folks jump the heater off of the pump. I have also read other posts that suggest this is a bad idea due to a large startup load for the heater blower. My pump is currently on a 20 AMP breaker. So my questions are...

    I have the auto switching covered I just don't think I could out up enough panels easily. Pool area is 800 sqft. Would need 7 panels to hit 70% which means I would need to go on my house too which makes me uneasy

    So it seems like ... and what I was afraid of ... that the solar setup will not really help to extend the season .... it will mainly help mitigate overnight losses during sunnier months.
