Have an Intex ultra frame pool, aquired a 1 hp pump and sand filter with standard 1 1/2 fittings. Found after market 40mm to 1 1/2 ' adapters on amazon. Connected right up to the pump and hoses, no modifications needed. http://www.amazon.com/Intex-Adapter-Kits-Accessories-Connection/dp/B004GE6OQA

Received the adapters and they fit the intex hoses as well as the standard pump. Going to hook it all up this weekend and see how she does UPDATE: Hooked everything up and works great, no modifications needed. Just some teflon tape and GTG
