I decided to go ahead and drain it on Sunday. It was still sparkling and in balance because of TFP me keeping up with it. With all therein, the kids were not getting much swimming in anyway now that school started. I go to bed as soon as the kids are in bed....lol I did not swim once this season.

I am looking at it trying to determine when I am going to get the final 6" of water out and take it down. Although with the rain I may have to drain it again...lol

Did you put the granules in a sock or just pour them in the skimmers? If you just poured them directly in the skimmers, I would say that it could be a possibility if they passed through in granular form. I am not certain though. I hope you figure it out.

Well today I drained the pool. Actually it is still draining. I told hubby that it was on its last season anyway and the kids have not been behaving to have the privilege of swimming. I won't leave though just because my pool is coming down.

That is a great idea. I am sure it will help many who do not want to cut their liner to install a skimmer.

Ideally you want your CYA level at around 75 for the SWG to keep up. Try that and make sure the cell is clean in the SWG.
